In three hours, Mexico Earthquake Tsunami Will Actions 8 countries
Residents in the neighborhood of the region off the coast of Mexico and seven other countries are asked immediately fled after the earthquake with the strength ofthe magnitude 8.1 on the Richter scale rocked.
Tsunami warning center, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or NOAA stated, tsunami waves estimated would arrive and braved the coast about three hours after the earthquake shocks. Eight countries which is expected to be cut by tsunami waves, including Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Honduras, and Ecuador.
It is estimated the height of the tsunami waves reached 0.3 to one meter is expected to pound the Cook Islands, Ecuador, Fiji, Guatemala, East Polynesia and Kiribati.
Reported by The Guardian, the initial waves have been recorded took place in the cities of Mexico, such as Puerto Madero, Salina Cruz and Huatulco, located between an altitude of 0.3-0.7 meters above the tide.
While the waves below 0.3 meters is estimated to occur in countries as far away asAustralia, Japan and Viet Nam. The warning Center said the threat of a tsunami in Hawaii still in evaluation.
Earlier in his official site, the Geological Survey Agency of the United States or a United States Geological Survey (USGS) said, the quake occurred at 04.49.21 Coordinated Universal time (UTC), Friday, September 8, 2017, or Thursday, September 7,2017 time Mexico.
